Blanke Aqua Shield Waterproofing Membrane

The newest product available on Carpetstretcher.net is the 110 square foot roll of Aqua Shield Waterproofing Membrane. Blanke Aqua Shield is a waterproofing membrane for use in tiled showers. Aqua Shield is extremely easy to install. It can be applied with a thinset mortar, and tile can then be applied to the Aqua Shield using a thinset mortar. It's that easy!

If you are not sure whether or not you need to use a waterproofing membrane in your shower...you do! To ensure a completely waterproof shower, you will need to use some sort of waterproofing membrane. If you are using a cement board on your walls, you will still need to use a waterproofing membrane over the cement board. Cement board is NOT waterproof, it is only water-resistant. If you want a waterproof shower, you need to use Blanke Aqua Shield.
